The Andrew Lang - Colored Fairy Books
Andrew Lang (1844 - 1912) together with his wife, Leonora Blanche Lang collected hundreds of different fairy tales taken from the folklore, traditions and classical literature from many different countries in the World. Lang and his wife translated, adapted and edited these traditional stories for children. These multicultural stories from folklore were edited and then published into a series of children's books of Fairytales which he cleverly gave simple titles to which were named after various colors which appealed to children. These Colored Fairy Tale Books grew into a total of twelve different, original volumes:
